What is the best way to get Mac support in Australia during the pandemic?

Helping family and friends troubleshoot computer issues through the phone can sometimes be irritating and frustrating, and this process might take longer than expected. Now, as we know the pandemic is all around us, we need the best method for Mac support in Australia. No one wants to compromise when it comes to Apple products. But there’s a little-known gem that can turn iMessages into a powerful tool to help family and friends to remotely troubleshoot an issue on their Mac.

Solving Macbook problems on your own will be great help whilst we are all practicing social distancing, and actually visiting your relatives or friends to fix up their Mac issues is not always possible.

What’s the best part? You don’t have to walk them through the process of installing and setting up a specific sharing screen or a remote-access app – Messages. The app that is used to access iMessage is available on a Mac and is built directly into MacOS. When it comes to Mac troubleshooting, you need to be careful and make sure that whatever instructions are given, should be followed carefully. If you have already signed into the iMessage app, then you are ready to share the screen, and if you haven’t, you can do so in a few minutes.

First, you need to launch the messages app and then sign-in with your Apple ID and link it to the iMessage account. Once this is done, we are going to mention how you use the screen share in the messages.

  •     Send a screen share request

You need to open the Messages app on your Mac and select the conversation thread for the contact with whom you want to share the screen.  With the conversation thread selected, click on the Buddies Menu bar at the top of your screen. If you want them to connect with your computer, select Invite to share my screen and click on Ask to Share screen if you want to view their screen.

  •     Click on the Details label that is next to the contact’s profile picture, then click on the Screen Share Button, then choose between the two screen share options.
  •     An invitation will pop up on the screen of their Mac, which they can decline or accept, and once they accept the request, the person who shares the screen will choose between full remote control, or allowing observation of their screen only.

If you are taking control of a Mac, the Screen Share app will open your Mac and then you will be able to use their computer as if it were yours. If someone else is taking control of your Mac, the screen share icon displays in the menu bar and your mouse cursor will appear as though it is moving by itself. But don’t panic because it is probably not a ghost, but the person who is connected to your Mac.

An audio call will be placed automatically whenever the screen share is on, allowing you to talk as if you are on the phone, and this also gives you a chance to explain what you’re doing and ask questions as well. Either of you can stop the screen share session by clicking on the Screen share icon present in the menu bar and select the End Screen Sharing, or simply close the screen share window. After rebooting Mac and fixing your friend’s Mac, just make sure that they have usefully understood what you were trying to explain to them.

In this way, you can easily get Mac Support in Australia even throughout the pandemic, all you need to do is stay alert. Apart from this, if you face issues that are too tough to deal with, you can just reach us at        1300 016 017 and we will be happy to assist you.
