The biggest advantage of memorizing shortcuts is that it comes very handy in work. Time can be saved and productivity increased. Below are some of the simple and common shortcuts for all to memorize.

For Windows 

Windows + E Opens File Explorer
Windows + L Locks the screen 
Windows + A  Opens the Action Center

Command + U  Underlines the text
Command + I Italicize the selected text 
Option + Delete Deletes the selected to the left of the cursor 
Fn + Delete Deletes forward 
Control + K Deletes the text between cursor and end of para
Command + K Add a hyperlink to selected text
Command + Control + Space bar The character window is opened 
Command + F Find a word in the entire document
Command + ;  Finding misspelled words in the document
Command + Control + D Highlighted word’s definition is displayed
